3/4 cup canola oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp celery seed
3/4 tsp tumeric (optional)
1 large head cabbage, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
In a saucepan, mix first eight ingredients. Bring to a boil and pour over remaining ingredients.
Marinate in refrigerator at least one day. Will keep a week. Serves 8. Good for picnics.
